Guide to the application Calheb on Android

At first launch, here is the first window that appears.
Some parameters of Geolocations are necessary for Calheb for the calculation of the Halachic times and the timetables of SHABBAT..
Choose your town among 145 herein.
Tip: If you're in a hurry click on save, the software will take the parameters by default.
If your city is not present click on management of cities
(see Help below)
Select if you want the rules of Diaspora or of Israel.
And click on display (optional)


Your city is not present among the 145 provided.
You have 2 options for the Add.
- 1 – Adding manual
- 2 – Searching on the Internet

For manual adding
- – Choose among 253 countries proposed.
- – Enter the name of the city with the keyboard (virtual or not)

Enter the Latitude and Longitude in degree and then validate.
Many Web sites provide these coordinates geographical
as Google Map or Wikipedia.

Following numerous requests Calheb also offers a search
of the city via internet.
This requires of course enable the transmission of data or Wifi on the device.

Once chosen among the 253 countries proposed
And enter the name of the city (or beginning of name)
Click on the magnifying glass symbol button.



A list of city is proposed..
Select the line indicating the geographical coordinates and then validate.

To simplify your search the city will be inserted at the end of the list.

Choose your city and validate.

Optionally, you can choose the display in "Phonetics" (transliteration), or in Hebrew with or without vowels as well as
the display of the Hebrew Date (in Hebrew)

It displays the Gregorian date, the Hebrew date, the name of the parapha of the week and times of the next shabbat.

Other possibilities are offered by calheb as
- the list of holidays
- the list of Halachic day schedules
- mini Sidour
- management of birthdays.

For the list of holidays a small wait is necessary.


You can scroll the list of festivals
(caution it takes into account the settings)
You can list the holidays for future years or to change.

List of Halachic hours depends on the set city
Mainly upgrading tefillin, schema, Minha and the sunset.

Mini Sidour comes in the form of a Menu.

Management of birthdays
To add a Date press on +.

Enter the title of the event

Specify if it is a date of death by selecting Hazcara.
Same thing indicated if you are of Ashkenazi origin
(if the option is not selected this is the Sephardic origin
which is taken into account)
Change the date Gregorian or Hebrew, the conversion happens automatically.
Click on save.


Your event is listed.
He will also appear in the list of festivals and on the main window to the day anniversary according to the Hebrew calendar of the event.
